Turning Lemons Into Pizza

I've gotten pretty good at turning lemons into lemonade. It was not something that came naturally to me. Growing up, having kids, working with kids, and owning my businesses taught me the importance of being able to do so. When we visited Chicago back in May, we had planned to return in July to take in museums and visit friends. Of course, life and a busy summer got in the way of those plans and that trip has been postponed to....well, we don't know when thanks to other pre-planned trips that begin next month.

Instead of being disappointed, we took those lemons and turned it into excitement by having our favorite Chicago style pizza delivered right to our door! Due to time and technicalities, we did not have Pizano's pizza in May. That was on our eat-list for July, so mom surprised the family with frozen Pizano's pizza. They've got quite the deal right now: buy 4 pizzas, get 2 free for $99. That includes shipping. The pizzas come frozen, but taste just as good as if you were eating it fresh in the restaurant.

Obviously, this wasn't our ideal situation, but we made the best of it. We've gotten two dinners out of our six pizzas and two very memorable family game nights while we ate. Not all was lost.
