Valentine's Weekend

I am sooo ready to get out and do things! Naturally, Iowa got in on the country's cold snap over the weekend, so we didn't do a lot. Friday night, we took the minis to Dome After Dark for a special (early) Valentine's outing (read about that here). It was great! The rest of the weekend was spent at home. The boys ran errands, we cooked, watched a movie, and the minis played.  

The boys did a quick run to Target and to pick up a gift from Grandma and Grandpa Sheaffer. Someone waited at the window the entire time.

Grandma made the kids a heart shaped cake and gave them frosting to decorate it with! We let the kids eat the entire cake right on the platter.

Sunday morning I made blini from the minis, the minis proudly gave me my gift (a trophy for adulting!!), and the minis read their love notes from me....and ate a ton of chocolate.

We had a day of prepping for th week, doing some schoolwork, and cooking 3 cheese lasagana and digging into a cookie cake. Again, soooo much sugar!

All of that sugar needed to be worked off, so we held a whole family laser tag game. Even the dog was included.

And that's how we ended our weekend. Running around, yelling at each other, in the dark.
