Healthy Cookie Recipe

I've been on the look out for healthy cookie recipes that were peanut free for Max and didn't use any sugar. I came across a recipe on Pinterest that I liked, but I didn't like that it had sugar in it. So I played around a bit, altered a few things in the recipe, and got a delicious "cookie" filled with protein and yumminess.

2/3 cup rolled oats
1/2 applesauce (I use unsweetened)
1/4 cup Sun Butter (sunflower butter-found at Wal-Mart or Trader Joe's. You can use any kind of nut butter-peanut, almond, etc. and it will be the same measurements)
1/3 cup dried cherries (any kind of dried fruit would be yummy in these)
1/3 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients together. Bake for 14-16 minutes. Let cool completely before eating.

Keep in mind, these cookies are not the comfort food type of cookie. They're definitely healthy cookies, but they do a pretty good job to satisfy a cookie craving.
