Welcome to our weekly post that highlights things to do on the weekends as a family, with friends, or date night ideas. We'll share what we'll be doing each weekend, things to do at home or outdoors with the kids, and things to do in and around Des Moines, Iowa (where we live). A little bit of everything rolled into one post for everyone to draw ideas from!
What We're Doing This Weekend:
- Girls night! My cousin and I are heading for drinks and to see Riverdance at the Civic Center
- A birthday party with family
- Date night in with our favorite Ecuadorian food and Broadchurch on Netflix
Things To Do This Weekend:
- Indoor or outdoor mini golf
- Zootopia. If you have yet to see it, check it out! It will not disappoint parents or kids!
- Try a new restaurant/food. My boys have fallen in love with Cuban food recently
- Visit the Easter Bunny and/or check out any Easter activities in your area (egg hunts, egg dying, etc.)
Happenings Around Des Moines:
- Jurassic Quest at HyVee Hall
- State Historical Museum. Hubs took the kids this week and was quite impressed with the exhibit Portrait of Maquoketa
- Wild Night Life and Hike at Jester Park
- NCAA at Wells Fargo Arena
- Carousel of Colors Egg Hunt at Union Park (Saturday)
