Our last walk across the High Trestle Trail Bridge 2 1/2 years ago.
Welcome to our weekly Thursday morning post about what's going on in the Des Moines, Iowa area. We'll share what we'll be doing, great finds, restaurants to eat at, shops to drop some cash at, and just all the great things Des Moines has to offer families.
What We're Doing:
- Seeing Zootopia. I get just as excited about new Disney movies as my kids.
- Walk on the High Trestle Trail Bridge. Gorgeous spring weather means getting out and enjoying it as much as possible!
Other Happenings:
- Kidsfest
- Mixology at the Science Center (Friday night). This makes for a great date night or night out with friends.
- Variety Telethon
- Walnut Woods State Park. We went last weekend and while it was terribly muddy, the kids had a blast exploring! Also in the area, Browns Woods is another place we love to hike. Just be sure to bring extra set(s) of clothes!
