Labor Day Weekend 2023

 We ended summer the same way we brought it in: a day in Clear Lake. We did all our usuals: swimming, floating, walking the lake path, stopping in little shops, Cabin Coffee, PM Park, and ice cream. It was glorious and perfect. The weekend was a little bit different this year because I worked on Memorial Day, so I enjoyed my first Friday with a long lunch (of Chipotle) and a hike around a pond. The minis dove right into the new school year and had friends over nearly all weekend long and even managed to talk us into a quick shopping trip.

September '23 - March '24

 As we approach September 2024 (tomorrow, it's tomorrow) and I realize it's been a full year of slowly putting pictures into posts and then not sharing them. It's been a full year of emotions, not writing them down, and scribbling lines and words into notebooks when they come to me. I now spend 60% of my days writing, so the need to write for fun has been low on my list. However, as I realize how much life is happening, words are swirling in my head and begging to be put down so that someday I can look back and remember exactly what life was in this moment.
