Welcome to our weekly Thursday morning post about what's going on in the Des Moines, Iowa area. We'll share what we'll be doing, great finds, restaurants to eat at, shops to drop some cash at, and just all the great things Des Moines has to offer families.
What We're Doing:
- Family Reunions: 2 of them on Saturday. We're planning for naps in between the two to keep the exhaustion levels to a minimum.
- A day at Adventureland. That's how Harrison has chosen to spend his birthday, which means that's how Matt's celebrating Father's Day too since they're on the same day.

- Movie in the Park: Big Hero 6 is playing at Colby Park at dusk.
- Johnston Green Days
- Jurassic Quest at the Iowa Events Center. My minis are disappointed to be missing out on this, but we've got too much going on to go. Get your tickets here.
- Confluence, Exile, or 515 Breweries: if your husband is anything like mine, he would enjoy some time away (or a date night) for Father's Day to one of these local breweries.
