As soon as the Blank Park Zoo announced the arrival of Wild Lights Festival this spring, I knew a visit was a MUST for us. We were lucky to be included in the preview night and I can easily report that it is awesome! The displays are beautifully placed throughout the Zoo. We grabbed hot chocolates with Baileys for the adults and regular hot chocolate for the kids and walked the zoo twice, so we could see the displays at dusk and after dark. To be completely honest, we've seen the displays in the daylight as the crew was setting them up and they're really neat that way too. Still, after dark is the way to see them!

To plan a visit: go to their site (www.bpz.com) to purchase advance tickets. Tickets will not be sold at the door, unless they are not sold out that night. Who wants to chance that, though? Concessions will be open. Animals are not out at this event, as it is after dark. Masks are required for everyone 2 and up. Wild Lights Festival is at the Blank Park Zoo Wednesday - Sunday, April 1 - May 31.
If you can't make it for a night, the displays are amazing to see during the day too!
