My Favorite Role Is Playing Magical Creatures

The boys, helping me fill their egg for our hunt tomorrow morning. While they've stopped believing in the Easter Bunny, Santa, the Tooth Fiary, etc. they still find the magic of these days.

I have many roles in life: mom, wife, daycare provider, writer, friend, partner in crime, sister, niece, aunt. I love them all. I find each role in life fulfilling. Yet, there's one particular role I love and cherish the most. I only get to play this role a few times a year and it's always a magical creature. These magical creatures are ones my children look forward to year after year. Even as they've stopped believing in such creatures, there's still magic surrounding what they stand for.

Tonight was my yearly visit to bunnyland. This Easter Bunny has worked hard this year, gathering gifts and fun things that can also be used for homeschooling. She's pretty smart like that. She also used the holiday to give the minis all of their spring and summer clothes. Despite what her significant other claims, the Easter Bunny did NOT go overboard.

The Easter Bunny was also extra smart this year and enlisted the children's help in filling the eggs with candy. She also got permission to sleep in tomorrow and hide the eggs later in the morning so the kids don't have to worry about the dog getting ahold of any eggs/candy. Sure the believing of the magical creatures has changed, but this Easter Bunny is 100% certain that there's still plenty of magic in these days.
