Another short but busy week here. The kids were all pretty wiped out this week due to cold and flu season hitting the daycare in full force, but luckily "Monsters University" came out this week and has made for some great movie watching. It's been cold and rainy this week, with my (sick) kids whining about not being able to play outside. Apparently they aren't remembering Iowa winters and what's in store for them the next few months.
Here's a few of the week's activities:
Fall sensory bin: complete with scented rice and the Little People Thanksgiving set.
Beggar's Night-my two little superheroes! Elizabeth was pretty sick and didn't get to participate in any of the day's activities.
Thanks Grandma for their sack of goodies!
Harrison asked for "a Halloween bath please!"
Painting pumpkins with different paint brushes.
The kids loved experimenting with the different brushes.
Playing put the stem on the pumpkin (think Pin the Tail on the Donkey)....huge hit!
Glow in the dark fangs and a Frankenstein mask.....this still wouldn't be unusual even if it wasn't Halloween!
Crayola Halloween coloring book pages-loved the variety of pictures it had and for only $1!
The day wouldn't have been complete without a tutu wearing three year old destroying my kitchen.
Dot Art pumpkins.
Tattoo mustaches for all of the kids!
I can't believe it's November already. I'm still researching projects and activities to do in November with the kids (something other than turkeys), so any ideas are appreciated. Next week the kids will be doing Thanksgiving themed activities, reading books about Thanksgiving, and foam stickers. Hopefully it will be a "normal" week around here! One can only hope.....
