Never A Dull Weekend

We can never manage a dull weekend around here.....even when there's not much going on. Saturday was suppose to be a "relaxing day" for myself and the kids while Matt was at work. However after I walked into the boy's room and saw this:
I decided it was organization and toy purging time! I had the boys help me go through toys they never play, throw away toys that were broken or no longer worked (which turned into a very good lesson on taking care of your things). We now have a big pile of toys and odds and ends that the kids will donate this holiday season.
Even with all of the organization and cleaning going on, we still managed to dress up the cat. After a long day and the kids went to bed, the hubs and I threw a No More Babies party, which left us nice and tired for our 5 am wake up call Sunday morning. Thanks time change.
The kids loved the toy catalogs that arrived with Sunday's newspaper.
Burning off some energy in the backyard on a gorgeous Sunday morning!

She loves playing in the leaves!
Max loves his little sister and is an amazing big brother!

Sunday evening was spent celebrating our nephews 5th birthday with family. The kids got to play with their cousins, snuggle with grandma, play with grandma's toys, and eat cake. Needless to say, the three were worn out.
This week will be full of Thanksgiving crafts and activities. We will begin reading our Thanksgiving books and talking about Thanksgiving. A rainy start to the week will keep us inside, but busy with the balance beam, musical instruments, and playing the Turkey Hop game.
