Life's Magic Moments

Today's magic moment is brought to you by the first snowfall of the season. Life's magic moments are all around, but sometimes you have to open your eyes to see them. I am not a fan of winter. I don't like the snow. I hate driving in it. Living in Iowa I have seen snow every winter for twenty nine years and every year I go on and on about how much I miss summer. Yet there is something beautiful about that first snowfall every winter (or fall technically in this case). As the snow fell and began sticking to the grass, I let the minis outside to discover the wonder.

Between the peacefulness and serenity of the outdoors and seeing my youngest mini discover snow for the first time in her toddlerhood, the magic happened before my eyes.

Elizabeth enjoyed eating the snow off of the slide.
Catching snowflakes on his tongue. This was a fun game until a snowflake got into his eye, then there were tears.
I must admit, it was a very pretty snow and I am looking forward to seeing these gorgeous pines covered in snow, for sledding, hot chocolate, and one good snowstorm. Until then, I'll be enjoying our upcoming 50 degree days!
