Book Party

When you write your first book, naturally you have to have a party! My first children's book "Let's Use Our Words" (read more about the writing of the book here) came out in early December but life has been normally crazy. It took us a few months, but we finally got around to doing a book promoting event. The big event was held on my birthday at Franklin Avenue Library. It was the perfect location for the book party.

We had sensory activities for the kids to do, a Mega Bowling game to play, coloring and cutting pages, and a reading of the book. For our first go at the book promotion thing, it turned out great thanks to some great people in our lives!

Salt dough and cookie cutter to make shapes.

Some kids got creative and created their own masterpiece, like this salt dough pizza.

Mega Bowling Set (found at Walmart for $19.99)

The slime was the hit of the party!

 Delicious cupcakes from Creme Cupcake

We had a great turn out and it was the perfect way to spend my birthday. I can't wait to hold more events like this!
