It's a rarity when the Hubs and I enjoy a night out without the minis in tow. But this week we got a chance to do just that. For Christmas I surprised the Hubs with tickets to see "The Book of Mormon" when it rolled through Des Moines. He's wanted to see if for years so we made a night of it, starting with dinner at a restaurant we've wanted to try (sans kids of course), the show, and ending with walking through the skywalk to walk off dinner.
Matt: "I can't believe you're making me take a restaurant selfie in the middle of dinner."

We got a wide variety of food at Malo to try out: pupusas, cuban sandwich with fries, a chicken tinga taco, and an al pastor taco. The homemade salsa is amazing!
Now that we have a few sitters that we can call, we plan on making date night a regular thing.....or as regular as it can get with three kids!
