Sensory Sandbox: Construction Land

I raided the kid's "vehicle bin" for this week's sensory sandbox: Construction Land. The boys have a TON of different construction vehicles and thought they would make the perfect sandbox toys since they can easily scoop, dump, and lift the sand. After adding in a bag of new, fine, white play sand, the sensory bin came to life:

All of the boy's construction vehicles: some are from the Target Dollar Section, a few are from a CAT set bought at Wal-Mart, and the rest are Wheelies.

I set up some of the large construction vehicles outside of the sandbox for the kids to play with.

The kids have loved playing with this sandbox theme this week and there are been very few squabbles about sharing the cars. They've even asked me to keep this sandbox for next week too because they've had a blast digging, dumping, and even burying the trucks.
