First Snowfall of the Season

Living in Iowa we're used to getting snow and cold temps. Usually the first snowfall of the season isn't much, but this year we were "treated" to 6 inches of snow....and before Thanksgiving! I'm not a fan of snow or cold weather. My kids on the other hand were thrilled! As soon as the snow started coming down Elizabeth let out a squeal followed by "Santa must be coming tomorrow!"

Harrison and Elizabeth ate the snow for their "before dinner dessert." We spent over an hour running through the wet snow as it fell, took a break for dinner, and then went back outside for snowball fights. I'm happy that the snow decided to fall on a Friday night because we didn't have to worry about shoveling the driveway right away and the minis got to stay up later than usual to enjoy the perfect for snowman making snow.

By the time the minis came in for the second time, their snow pants and coats were soaked. We warmed up with warm apple cider and cuddles on the couch. It was such an unexpected, fun night full of giggles and thank yous for making it snow. As if they weren't in the holiday spirit enough, the minis are even MORE ready for the winter season.
