We've been loving our toilet paper roll crafts the past couple of months! First we did the toilet paper roll ghosts (http://ashlen-kidspert.blogspot.com/2014/09/toilet-paper-roll-ghosts.html), then bats (http://ashlen-kidspert.blogspot.com/2014/10/toilet-paper-roll-bats.html), turkeys for Thanksgiving (http://ashlen-kidspert.blogspot.com/2014/11/toilet-paper-roll-turkeys.html), and now reindeer.
These are super simple and easy to put together. The hardest part of this craft is tracing little hands. The messiest part is using the glue.
What You Need:
- Brown construction paper (for tracing hands)
- Scissors (for cutting out traced hands)
- Glue
- Red pom poms (I bought a variety bag at Walmart)
- Googly eyes
- Empty toilet paper roll
First trace hands (the most difficult part) and cut out. I cut slats so the hands (or antlers) just slide onto the top of the toilet paper roll. The glue on eyes and pom pom. It should dry in time.
Easy, cute, and not too messy. Also, it provided the kids with a play theme for the rest of the afternoon: being Santa's (loud) reindeer.
