My Favorite Things: Thanksgiving Edition

  • Give Thanks pillow. I'm always on the look out for cute and kid friendly decor for the season. Anything not breakable and soft is the way to go!
  • Mini pie tins. These are perfect for making personal mini pies (as the kids have requested for our big Thanksgiving meal that we do the day before the actual holiday).
  • Turkey shirts. I got these shirts for the boys for Thanksgiving Day. The shirt made me laugh, plus it's perfect for running around with cousins after the big meal.
  • Carter's Thanksgiving outfits. While I don't have babies anymore, I always adored Carter's holiday onesies and outfits.
  • Green bean casserole. It's a must at any Thanksgiving meal (and also my fave side dish). We use this recipe every year.
  • Wall of Thanks. Years ago I started our Wall of Thanks to help them understand. We now do it every year. It's one of my favorite projects of the year.
  • Turkey cookie cutter. We use our cookie cutters for everything: cookies, play dough, painting, etc. Our turkey cookie cutters get a work out this month!
  • Turkey and Pilgrim hats. My kids love these. My sister actually started this craze with our family years ago when she came to the table for our meal wearing a turkey hat.
  • Black Friday ads. So I actually haven't gone shopping on Black Friday in a few years, but I can't help but look at the ads when they come out....I've even gone as far as making notes of everything I *wish* I could get.
  • Gord displays. Small pumpkins, squashes, scarecrows; I love using these as decorations or table centerpieces this time of year.
