Last year we went to Minnesota for Matt's birthday weekend (read more on that here andhere). This year we kept things low key since the two of us head to Vegas in just one short week. We checked out Ingersoll Live and ate dinner at a favorite place Saturday evening. On Sunday we went to Adventureland and spent one final day riding our favorite rides.
Ingersoll Live was very crowded since the event was held in one city block. Despite the crowds we enjoyed listening to the bands and all of the free activities, which included balloon animals, canvas painting, face painting, tattoos, and bounce houses. Not free but just as wonderful was our dinner at Star Bar and dessert at Chocolaterrie Stam.
Sunday we went to Adventureland one final time in 2015. The kids rode their favorite rides and tried a couple of new rides too.
Matt and Max rode the Inverter for the first time. I wasn't quite sure how Max would like the ride since this was the first ride he had been on that took him upside down, but he loved it!
We ended the weekend with cupcakes from Scratch and an off key rendition of Happy Birthday.
So a quick review of the weekend: Ingersoll Live: nay, Star Bar: yay, Stam: so-so (plus a lot of extra calories!), Adventureland: yay, and Scratch: yay.
