Weekend Planner

Welcome to our weekly Thursday morning post about what's going on in the Des Moines, Iowa area. We'll share what we'll be doing, great finds, restaurants to eat at, shops to drop some cash at, and just all the great things Des Moines has to offer families.

What We're Doing:

• Family Fun Night at the boy's school.
• A birthday party
• Superbowl
• Sledding. We haven't been yet this year and I've had some of my favorite big hills on the back of my mind since the snowfall earlier this week.

Other Happenings:

• Glazed Expressions. Go paint some pottery or make a candle for some indoor creativity.
• Girls In Science at the Science Center of Iowa.
• Nature Tots at the Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge. Dress warm and have fun learning and exploring outdoors.
• Disney Live! Mickey and Minnie's Doorway to Magic. We've taken our three to Disney On Ice and the minis loved it!
• Rock climbing at Climb Iowa.
