For their clothes, I went to Children's Place, Old Navy, Kohl's, Baby Gap, Gap Kids, and Carter's. In addition to all clothing and shoes being tax free, I had 20% off coupons for all of these places. I also had a 5% off an entire day of shopping at Target through a rewards program. I didn't buy any clothes (although all of their kids clothes were 30% off, for those interested), but it was a good time to stock up on diapers. Target had some fantastic deals on clearance toys. I scored some Melissa & Doug crafts for almost 90% off and cheap Legos for the boys at 70% off.
To give everyone an idea of these fantastic deals, we spent less than $300 this entire shopping weekend. This includes gas for the van (driving around), a few groceries (Trader Joe's and Hy-Vee deals), diapers, new long sleeved pj's for all 3, jeans for all 3, shirts for the boys, a few new outfits for miss E, shorts for Harrison for next spring (ON and Children's Place only $5 a pair), new shoes for myself (Target clearance for $5), gym clothes for Max, play clothes for E & H, a polo for Matt, a shirt for me, crafts for daycare, a few new clearance toys, a Curious George book, some school supplies that were on sale this week, and new shelves for the basement for all of the daycare art supplies. I don't think I did too bad scoring some good deals! I feel quite accomplished when I save some moo-lah on the necessary purchases.

A little tip for you money saving but stylish mommies and babies: sign up to receive Gap and Old Navy emails if you don't already. The emails will tell you what deals are going on in-store and online. I have saved BIG money and gotten better deals than I've ever gotten in my life by shopping both. For example: Gap brands recently had all of their clearance items an additional 40% off. When I went to the store, I found nothing for the kids. Online was a different story! I ordered $52 worth of clothes and the kids got: new shorts for $5 a piece, shirts for less than $4, pajama sets for $6, and more! Old Navy doesn't seem to run as great of deals, but many times, certain items will be several dollars cheaper online than in stores. Plus, $50 or more is free shipping!
